Dr. Mark Macus

Mark Macus is the Group CFO of Buhler Group and a Member of the Boards of Directors of the Audit Committees of Reichle & de-Massari, Corvaglia and Cantaleum.

Mark has over 20 years of experience in the field of corporate governance and from a variety of perspectives, be it as an executive, as a board member, as head of the Audit Committee, as a financial auditor, or as researcher.

After completing his PhD at the University of St.Gallen in 2002 with a thesis on the role of Boards of Directors in high-growth startups, Mark worked in financial audit and in consulting for KPMG and completed his degree as Swiss certified accountant. He then moved into industry, joining Holcim Group in a Group Reporting capacity. In 2013, he joined Buhler Group as Head of Corporate Controlling. He took on the role as Group CFO at the furniture and design company Vitra in early 2018. In late 2019, he re-joined Buhler Group in his current role as Group CFO. Apart from his operational roles, he has held teaching assignments at the Swiss Board School or the University of St.Gallen since 2004.
