Prof. Marianne Schmid Mast

Marianne Schmid Mast is full professor of Organizational Behavior at the University of Lausanne and Dean of the HEC Lausanne Business School.

Her research is situated at the crossroad of social psychology, management, and leadership and aims at a better understanding of human interpersonal behavior, mostly in the workplace by focusing on topics such as power and leadership, interpersonal communication, social biases, and the study of nonverbal behavior.

She received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Zurich and pursued an academic career, first at Northeastern University in Boston (USA) and then as assistant professor in Social Psychology at the University of Fribourg and as full professor at the Department of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Neuchatel before joining the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne in 2014.
