Prof. Dr. Oliver Gassmann

Prof. Dr. Oliver Gassmann is Professor of Innovation Management and Head of the Institute of Technology Management at the University of St.Gallen. His research focuses on success factors for innovation, in particular open innovation and global innovation processes.

Oliver Gassmann was Vice President Technology Management, Head of Corporate Research at Schindler Corporation for over 6 years, before that he was a lecturer at the Universities of St.Gallen and Stuttgart. He is on several boards, including Zühlke Group, Hoffmann Neopac AG, Weidmann Holding AG and the Institute for Intellectual Property.

He studied economics at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim and obtained his doctorate at the University of St.Gallen, where he also received his Venia Legendi.
