Swiss Board Visit 25 Explored One of Europe’s Leading Life Sciences Clusters

Swiss Board Visit 2025 brought more than 100 board leaders and decision makers to the Canton of Zug, one of Europe’s leading hubs for life sciences, healthcare, and innovation.

The day began in the Cantonal Parliament Hall, where Susanne Schaffert, an experienced international board member of organizations including Merck, Novo Holdings, and Incyte, shared valuable insights from her distinguished board career and leadership experience.

At lunchtime, participants continued their discussions aboard a cruise on Lake Zug. Silvia Thalmann-Gut, Member of the Cantonal Government and Head of Economic Affairs, highlighted how political stability, sound fiscal and tax policies, and the pragmatic “Zug Spirit” have created a foundation for growth, innovation, and economic diversity.

The afternoon featured an exclusive visit to V-ZUG. Following a welcome by CEO Christoph Kilian, participants gained first hand insights into the company’s new vertical factory, an inspiring example of the future of Swiss manufacturing and industrial innovation.

The day concluded with a networking reception, providing an opportunity for further exchange and reflection on the insights gained throughout the visit.

Swiss Board Visit 2025 once again demonstrated the value of connecting boardroom perspectives with leading organizations, innovative business models, and dynamic regional ecosystems.
