Swiss Board Day 25 Convened at the Kursaal Bern

More than 450 members of the Swiss Institute of Directors (SIoD) gathered at the Kursaal Bern for Swiss Board Day 2025. Under the theme „Deciding Today for Tomorrow,” the event brought together board leaders and decision makers for a day of meaningful dialogue, reflection, and forward looking insights.

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Michael Hilb, President of the Board Foundation. Throughout the day, participants gained valuable perspectives from keynote speakers Simon Michel, Lieutenant General René Wellinger, and Sergio P. Ermotti.

A special highlight was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Swiss Board School and the Swiss Armed Forces. The partnership creates new opportunities for board education and lays the foundation for joint initiatives such as the Board Bootcamp.

Through a series of Board Exchanges, participants explored key topics including strategy, transformation, resilience, artificial intelligence, and governance. Open dialogue and diverse perspectives fostered practical insights and meaningful conversations among peers.

The event concluded with an inspiring look at the next generation of leaders, underscoring the importance of responsible leadership and long term thinking in an increasingly complex world.

Swiss Board Day 2025 once again demonstrated the power of bringing together diverse perspectives to strengthen effective board leadership.
